Dyneema Musette, 2025
A first foray and experiment with 1oz Dyneema Composite Fabric, and an attempt at designing without being able to “hide my crimes”. Each seam, fold, and stitch needed to be thought out, and technical details needed to be designed in a way that even the parts that’d typically hidden when constrcuting a bag were on show.
Bikepacking System, 2025
Designed and hand sewn to be rugged and reliable, this system takes inspiration from the current world of cycle accessory design and tweaks and tailors aspects to suit my specific needs whilst out on the bike. Made out of durable and waterproof X-Pac VX21 fabric, each bag is designed to carry whatever, wherever. With laser cut Polypropylene harnesses to assist with mounting, the system is designed to be as functional, durable and as flexible as possible.
This project feels like something that is still ongoing in my mind and perhaps will never be truly finished. But with rapid prototyping and problem solving such crucial parts of my workflow during the process, using tools like laser-cutting allow me to quickly alter and adjust designs in the pursuit of improvement - perhaps a I’m missing a cut-out for a strap, or the bag sits too low on the frame, these problems become opportunities to trouble-shoot and try again.
