An attempt at designing an everyday technical rucksack with batch production in mind. A constant balance of material experimentation and technical construction led me to this final product, with the aim of having this pattern act as a modular base, and additions and subtractions being available at the end users request. From exterior pockets to laptop sleeves the possibilities feel endless.
I’ve also discovered the world of ‘alternative’ materials and based a few features of the bag around Tyvek a lightweight, paper-like, HDPE-based technical textile, typically used in construction. This in combination with recycled X-Pac RX30 create a bag that should hopefully improve with time, as folds and wrinkles appear and start to show off its functionality and the life it’s lived.
